János Domján, a contemporary of Lajos Chappon, wrote "The Study of Fencing" ("Ví-tan," often badly rendered online as "fencingology.") in order to introduce physical training to improve the health of his highly-cultured yet somewhat-deskbound colleagues (a situation all too familiar in the 21st century). This short work contains an excellent overview of both thrust and cut fencing as well as simple descriptions to help the student get up to speed in both theory and practice without difficulty.

A must-read for historical fencers and fencing historians.
