About the Author

V.P. Sharma is a distinguished General Insurance professional with over four decades of industry experience. A 1979 Industrial Engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and an Associate Member of the Insurance Institute of India, he held senior leadership roles at United India Insurance Company Limited and Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, superannuated as Vice President and Head of Fire, Engineering & Risk Management Departments. For the past eight years, he has been serving as Mentor Property Underwriting and Claims at Digit General Insurance, guiding professionals with his extensive technical expertise.

A passionate educator, he founded the vpinsupedia YouTube channel, followed by over 8,500 insurance professionals worldwide, and moderates professional WhatsApp communities with more than 2,500 members. Over the last two decades, he has been actively engaged in delivering webinars, workshops, and lectures at premier institutions, including the National Insurance Academy, Insurance Institute of India, National Law University Jodhpur, and IIRM, earning recognition as a respected trainer, mentor, and author.
