The original pages have been reproduced for this 25th Anniversary Edition with their imperfections intact: uneven exposures, handwritten corrections, misalignments, and all. They are evidence of a process that required film, enlargers, developer, fixer, burning, dodging, and a great deal of patience.

Twenty-five years later, the work feels both like an artifact of another era and a question for this one: What do we gain when creating becomes easier-and what is still worth making slowly, imperfectly, and by hand, even in an AI-powered era?

This anniversary edition preserves the original photographic poetry collection and includes new reflections on how it was made.
