This is my eighteenth book. How I got here is still a mystery. I started writing my memories of working on the railroad as a hobby. They were read by a few people, and they thought they would make an interesting book.
Everyone that worked on the railroad has a book full of memories they could write about. The problem is writing is time consuming and publishing is harder.
This book is a collection of stories that have been shared with me by fellow railroaders. I do this for those that tell their memories so what they did can be recorded on paper during their career.
The railroad many of us worked for is no longer there. Many of the practices we were taught to do would get you fired in today's railroad. There was a time When Railroading Was Fun.
